I'm sitting in my bare office surrounded by boxes with nothing to keep me busy but my dearest internetz. We are moving offices. Down the hall. Shifting around the 2nd floor. So everything has to be packed and unplugged ready to go at 5 so they can start the move at 8 am Monday morning. Which means I can get basically nothing done today or Monday. Which is fine because I have a wee bit of short timer syndrome anyways. I am a little sad I didn't bring my camera to take a picture of my 1st real office after 5 years in cubicle-land. I can take a picture of the new office but it won't be the same because I took home my pictures and personal items already since I am leaving a month and a half. I am not going to waste my time redecorating an office I will be in for 7 weeks.
Speaking of not bringing my camera. I went to a Mike Huckabee rally today. Yes, yes I know 99.5% of bloggers are liberal soI will try to contain myself so as not to scare away my 3 readers. It was really awesome though. I have never been to one before and I certainly didn't expect him to come out and play Sweet Home Alabama on the guitar with the band that opened for him. Then have Chuck Norris come out and sing his praises. His speech was amazing too. I wish he got more air time with the news. I don't see how anyone can listen to him and not vote for him but I guess people feel the same way about their candidate du jour. This is why I don't discuss politics on my blog. I can feel my shoulders tensing up and my face getting red just thinking about it.
Did I mention 33 more days? Oh, its tacky to countdown? Nevermind...

Don't call me Betty Crocker
I had the day off today for the MLK holiday. Bear and I spent a lovely day hanging around the house. I made an amazing loaf of honey wheat bread in the breadmaker. Then I made a new recipe for dinner. It was a broccoli cheese casserole thing I had never made before. It took forever to make with steaming the vegetables and cutting everything up. It looked delicious and we were eager to try it.
YUCK! It was NOT good. That is so disapointing. I spent all this time, not to mention the ingredients on something that had no flavor. As my husband says, I get it right 99% of the time. This was one of those horrible 1% nights. We ended up throwing the whole thing in the trash and picking up Taco Bell. Oh well, at least my bread was good.
We got home from Taco Bell with our food and sat down at the coffee table to eat. We are klassy like that. Bear is very interested in everything we eat now and kept sticking his fingers in my nachos and pulling cheese off my taco. Then he grabbed my iced tea and dumped it all over the table, my food, and my lap. I'm glad I at least have some more yummy coconut macaroons I made this weekend to give me solace. Back to the grind tomorrow.
