Bear survived his first day of Mother's Day Out. Although I am a little suspicious of the progress sheet they sent home with him. Ate all of his food? Then why was there still food in his lunch sack when I picked him up? Napped? In a room full of other toddlers and toys with no bars to keep him locked in? I doubt it. Whatever. He seemed happy when I picked him up. It was a little strange having all that free time to myself. Don't worry I took advantage of it and used the time wisely by going to the new Target and going home to watch DVR'd episodes of One Tree Hill (OMG!), The Hills, and The Closer. I consider that time well spent.
Now on to my next issue. My birthday is approaching in a month. 28! OMG. Anyway, I need to provide gift ideas to my family members pretty soon and I realized I have no idea what I want. This happens every year. Between Sept-Dec. my mind goes blank and I can't think of a single good thing I need/want. Ask me in February! I will have a list a mile long and then I kick myself for not thinking of that at my birthday or Christmas.
So, my question for you dear readers is what are you coveting? Reasonably priced things of course. A car would be nice but probably not within the budget. Give me ideas. Jewelry, clothes, CDs, DVDs, electronic gizmos, books, bags, shoes. Whatever makes your heart go pitter patter. Help me get some inspiration so this birthday I will get something I really love instead of just telling them to get me whatever. Links are most welcome.

I was just thinking the same thing this very morning, well, I guess it was yesterday morning now as it is now 1:16 AM!!!!can't sleep!...How about some new jammies,or, books are always good, maybe some art inspiration books to get the juices flowing, or a new sewing table for the studio, or a rug for the master bedroom, or a lisa Leonard necklace, or some Dansko shoes....I wish it was my birthday!
Awww, I was coming here to steal ideas and I am the first one!
I am always big on gift cards b/c I am so picky. You can never go wrong with Target, as long as you spend on yourself! But Target does have some great bags for fall! I would live at the spa with enough g.c.'s! Massage, pedi, mani! I had my first facial in the spring from a great place in Frisco-HIGHLY recommend it! I want a pair of FitFlops b/c I wear flip flops all the time and these come highly recommended. I would recommend gadgets, but since I have the fewest of all my friends, I am no help in that area.
well, after reading ohmommy's blog, I'm seriously dying for a pair of you by croc shoes. And I also am behind the times for an ipod. My birthday is in October (I'll be 28, too!) and I've asked for one. Something to motivate me to run in the evenings. And if you need some good music and like the genre, Gavin Rossdale's new cd Wanderlust is incredible. ;oD
My birthday is in Oct too and I want a pair of great fitting jeans.
GC's are always good.
If I could pick the one gift that I would love to receive on my birthday it would be a day at the spa....perhaps a facial, massage, just plain old any kind of pampering will do!! LOL LOL
I always have the same problem. I generally end up thinking of something I want in the kitchen. The mandolin is the most extraneous kitchen item I decided I needed and I love it!
I can't think of anything I want now, I try to keep a running list of books people mention that I would like to read, but I nearly always lose it.
tagged you today and tomorrow! hint: clean your sink tonight! :)
I can never think of things I want when I need to procure a list. Is it r ude to ask for gift certificates because I love clothes but wouldn't trust anyone to pick them out for me.
Tickets to any show, dinner, movie, outing, etc. I ALWAYS prefer an experience to a dust-collector...
My birthday is on the 30th - and I'm getting a 12 megapixel Cannon. God just typing that makes me all hawt and bothered.
